Community Unit School District 201

Proposed November 5, 2024 Bond Referendum

Estimate of Taxpayer Impact on

Bills Payable in Calendar Year 2025

CUSD 201 continues to honor our community’s commitment to fiscal responsibility. Our Board of Education and administration are good stewards of the public’s tax dollars, spending less on administrative costs and maintaining a responsible fund balance that is more conservative than many districts. This allows our district to receive 20 consecutive years of having the highest financial profile designation by the Illinois State Board of Education. CUSD 201 has also been awarded the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report by the Association of School Business Officials International for the last 7 years.

This rate increase is based on assessed values as of TODAY by the county, not what it's worth.

The calculator is intended to estimate the increase in the bond portion of the CUSD 201 tax bill only. Does not include property taxes paid to other governments (e.g. village, park district, library, county, forest preserve, etc.). Actual tax rates and payments may vary based on District-wide EAV growth, individual homeowner reassessment, State Law changes, property tax rate initiatives, equalization and other factors.

This bond has a fixed tax rate for 30-years and will not increase even if property values rise. Additionally, overall taxes in DuPage County can only increase by up to 5% from the previous year.
