Dear CUSD 201 Staff and Families:
I hope you are doing well and looking forward to Thanksgiving break.
It appears that the results of our referendum are in, and the vote is 3,356 – Yes and 3,357 – No.
I find it extraordinary that such an important decision came down to 1 vote!
The results can be found at DuPage County Election Results. The vote will be certified and official on November 26th, and we will share that announcement.
The next steps include a Board Finance and Facilities Committee Meeting on December 3rd at 6:00 p.m. at South School. All are welcome to attend. The overwhelming need to improve our facilities for our staff, students, and community remains, and we will work together to make this happen.
If the Board decides to include a referendum question on the April 2025 ballot, they will vote at the December 17th Board meeting. This would be the last Board meeting prior to the filing deadline in mid-January.
Our commitment to providing the very best for our students and community is unwavering.
We are one of the most improved and highest achieving school districts in the state and nation, but our work together continues.
Thank you for your support.
Jack Baldermann
Superintendent – CUSD 201
