Dear CUSD 201 Families,
CUSD 201 received good news this week regarding the COVID-19 vaccine. The DuPage County Health Department has allocated 100 doses to our district. We will prioritize our classroom teachers and teacher assistants to receive the vaccine first, on Friday, March 5.
With having 100 of our teachers and assistants at appointments at various times on March 5, the District has two choices. CUSD 201 can use March 5 as a remote planning day, wherein no teaching or learning would take place, or the District can make it a remote learning day, with teaching and learning taking place following the indicated remote schedule(s). The District has chosen to use March 5 as a remote learning day. Students will follow their remote learning schedules, and teaching and learning will take place.
I anticipate a larger allotment of the vaccine the week of March 8, and we will inoculate the remaining employees.
Employees will need to wait a period of time before receiving the second dose of vaccine. The vaccination of staff will not alleviate the need to use the basic mitigation protocols. Masks, social distancing, and self-certification will still be required.
The DCHD published the DCHD School Metrics Week 6 on Monday. As of February 25th, the seven-day positivity rate for Westmont is 3.00%, Hinsdale is 4.88%, Downers Grove is 6.08%, and Clarendon Hills is 6.87%. The average positivity rate for our community is 5.21%. Our community’s low positivity rate and the safety protocols we have in place will allow CUSD 201 to remain hybrid for the Week of February 22nd..

Parent-Teacher Conferences
CUSD 201 will hold parent-teacher conferences on March 11 and March 12. The teachers will conduct conferences virtually. Please schedule your conferences using Skyward or by contacting your child’s school.
Hybrid Learning
The District has updated the Hybrid Learning Plan. Here is a link to the plan (CUSD 201 Hybrid Learning Plan). Also, each of the schools will be sending out additional information to school families. The District will update this document regularly. It is a good idea to revisit this document periodically, including the frequently asked questions.

MEAL DISTRIBUTION FOR THE WEEK OF February 28, 2021
Meal pick-up is on Monday, March 1, 2021, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Westmont Junior High.
Meals are available free of charge to CUSD 201 families for children 18 and younger.
The District will provide parents with seven days’ worth of breakfast and lunch. Please use the drive off Oakwood in front of the Junior High School. A CUSD 201 employee will bring the food to your car. If you are unable to come to the Junior High at the designated time, please call 630-468-8121.

DISTRIBUCIÓN DE COMIDAS PARA LA SEMANA DEL 28 de febrero de 2021

Las comidas están disponibles sin cargo para familias de CUSD 201 para niños menores de 18 años.
