November 20, 2020
Dear CUSD 201 Families,
The CUSD 201 administration and staff continue to work tirelessly to provide the best education for our students under very unique and challenging circumstances. These are also challenging times for our students and families. Please remember to practice patience and grace. Working together, we will weather this storm.
The DCHD School Metrics, posted earlier this week, indicate the county is at a “substantial” level for transmission. The seven-day positivity rate for our local community shows Westmont at 10.39%, Hinsdale at 9.07%, Downers Grove at 10.33%, and Clarendon Hills at 12.00%.
The District will continue with remote learning next week and will have very small groups attend on Tuesday. Principals will provide additional information regarding the small groups. The two weeks after Thanksgiving will be 100% remote (no small groups) to build in a two-week quarantine period after the holiday. Here is a link to a calendar that will make it easier for parents to visualize the next several weeks of the school year. Calendar for November 16 through January 19
Our goal continues to be to return to hybrid learning the week of January 19, pending the DuPage County Health Department school metrics.
Please read the entire communication for additional updates.
Hybrid Learning-Suspended
The District is suspending hybrid learning until January 19, 2021.

MEAL DISTRIBUTION FOR THE WEEK OF November 23, 2020
Meal pick-up is on Monday, November 23, 2020, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Westmont Junior High.
Meals are available free of charge to CUSD 201 families for children 18 and younger.
Parents will be given seven days’ worth of breakfast and lunch. Please use the drive off Oakwood in front of the Junior High School. You do not need to exit your car; the food will be brought to you. If you are unable to come to the Junior High at the designated time, please call 630-468-8121.
If you are planning to see family over the Thanksgiving break, please remember to do so responsibly. Please continue to wear masks if you go out, practice social distancing, and wash your hands. If everyone practices these strategies, we can bend the curve.
Take care,
Kevin Carey
Superintendent
