November 6, 2020
Dear CUSD 201 Families,
Thank you for your patience as we navigate a very challenging time. Please know that our administrators, teachers, and non-certified staff are all working together to provide the best possible education for our students.
The week of November 9, the District will be in remote learning. The decision was based on the DCHD School Metrics that were posted on Monday. The District will resume bringing in small groups of students on Tuesday and Thursday, November 10, and November 12. Parents will receive additional information from their child’s school.
The athletic conference for the Junior High, the Southeast DuPage Elementary Athletic Association, SDEAA, voted to cancel the winter athletic season due to the increased level of transmission of COVID-19. Westmont High School is following the Illinois Department of Public Health’s guidance and postponing the winter athletic season.
The DuPage County Health Department will post the updated metrics on Monday. Communication will be sent to school families on Monday on the status of school for the week of November 16. Our goal remains the same, to have students back in school as soon as possible.
Please read the entire communication for additional updates.

Note NEW pick up time slot.
Meal pick-up is on Monday, November 9, 2020, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Westmont Junior High.
Meals are available free of charge to CUSD 201 families for children 18 and younger.
Parents will be given seven days’ worth of breakfast and lunch. Please use the drive off Oakwood in front of the Junior High School. You do not need to exit your car; the food will be brought to you. If you are unable to come to the Junior High at the designated time, please call 630-468-8121.
Please do everything you can do on your end to help slow the spread of COVID-19. Fatigue is setting in, and it is easy to become lax in our behavior. Remember to wear masks, social distance, and wash your hands, and avoid large group gatherings and events.
Take care,
Kevin Carey
