October 9, 2020
Dear CUSD 201 Families,
As the District wraps up the first week of hybrid learning, I thank you for your patience and cooperation. Teaching and learning during a pandemic are new for all of us. I also offer my sincere appreciation and gratitude to the CUSD 201 certified and non-certified staff. It was through everyone’s hard work and collective efforts that the first week went as well as it did.
Please continue to be patient with our administrators, staff, your student, and yourself. We are all navigating uncharted waters together. If there is anything that is not working or your child needs additional assistance, please let us know.
Depending on your child’s grade level, the State of Illinois has specific health requirements that need to be met: updated immunization records, physicals, and dental exams. The health requirements must be completed and on file in the school office by October 15. This requirement applies to both in-person students and remote students. The Illinois State Board of Education has not granted school districts a waiver for this mandate. Students who have not met this health requirement will be excluded from school starting October 15. For additional information, you can use this link, CUSD 201 Health Services, to contact your child’s school.
Please read the entire communication for additional updates.
Hybrid Learning
The District will continue Hybrid Learning the week of October 13. Here is a link to the plan (CUSD 201 Hybrid Learning Plan). This document will be updated regularly. It is a good idea to revisit this document periodically, including the frequently asked questions.
Remote Learning
Remote learning for families who selected this option will continue the week of October 13. Please use this link to view the plan.
If you or your student is having difficulty accessing the learning materials or have any questions, we have a hotline for you to use. Please use the following number:

Parents will be given four days’ worth of breakfast and lunch. The meals are to provide the children with breakfast and lunch from Tuesday through Monday.
