Sergio Gonzalez
7th Grade Literacy
Hi Westmont Panthers!
My name is Sergio Gonzalez and I am one of the 7th grade Literacy teachers this year. This is my second year at Westmont, and I’m super excited to join the Westmont community.
I’m entering my 14th year in education, and I know this is going to be a great one! I have pretty much done it all in schools; from working as 4th grade bilingual teacher to most recently as a building administrator. I started my teaching career at Mannheim School District 83 where I taught elementary and middle school bilingual students. Eventually, I was also able to teach 8th grade English and language arts as well.
As a teacher at Mannheim I received my master's in education administration, and for the past four years I was an administrator in District 45 in Villa Park and North Shore School District 112 in Highland Park.
I am so fortunate to return to the classroom where I can directly teach students and help them grow as learners and successful students at Westmont Jr. High.
When I’m not working as a teacher, I’m hanging out with my three sons and my wife: Noah, Oliver, and Miles, and Susie. I love to play any type of sport. I love to read and listen to podcasts.
The best way to contact me is via email.
