Westmont High School will be offering the PSAT/NMSQT exam on Wednesday, October 12th from 8:00-12 pm at Westmont High School.
The PSAT/NMSQT can qualify participating junior students for scholarships, including the National Merit Scholar Program. Interested sophomores may choose to take this exam as a practice. In general, students who score in the top 1% in the nation on the PSAT/NMSQT are deemed Semifinalists for the National Merit Scholarship Program.
Sophomore and juniors will still be provided several practice SAT opportunities throughout the year, this exam is only for those juniors who wish to compete for the National Merit Scholarship. All interested students should sign up with Ms. Grahn in the main office with a $20 fee before Friday, October 7th. Cash or check made out to Westmont High School will be accepted, spots are limited.
