Course Selection

2025-2026 Course Selection Book

On January 14th, 16th, and 17th, all current 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students will receive information about the 2025-2026 course selection process in their scheduled English classes. Students will be able to enter their course requests online through Skyward from Tuesday, January 14th at 8 AM until Monday, January 21st at 8 AM.

To prepare for the presentation, students are encouraged to review graduation requirements and classes offered at WHS listed in the Course Selection Book posted above.

To make course requests for the upcoming school year, students need to log into Skyward and click on the “Course Requests” tab. In this section, students will be able to select as many as 14 semester classes for the following school year. All WHS courses that do not require special approval will be available for students to view and select as course requests through Skyward. Parents also have the option to view and update this information through Skyward Family Access.

Beginning on Monday, January 21st, all students will have an individual appointment to review their course requests. A schedule of appointments will be posted on Google Classroom for students to view. During these appointments, counselors will ensure that students are on track to meet WHS graduation requirements as well as college entrance requirements. If applicable, special approval courses (such as special education, Technology Center of DuPage, etc.) will also be addressed at that time.

As always, students are encouraged to take this course selection process very seriously. A summary of individual students' course selections will be mailed home in the month of March for parental review.

WHS Technology Center of DuPage (TCD) Application for the 2025-2026 School Year

Any students interested in attending the Technology Center of Dupage (TCD) during their junior or senior year MUST complete an application by January 17, 2025 even if they are in a program at TCD this school year.

The Technology Center of DuPage is Westmont High School's off-campus elective for college and career readiness. Interested sophomores/juniors may apply to a specific TCD program for their junior/senior year.

Note that there are limited spots available and priority will be given to seniors and the date by which this complete application is received (from students and parents). The WHS TCD Committee will review all submitted applications as well as credits, grades, attendance, and discipline. If selected, students will need to provide additional information directly to TCD with the assistance of their school counselor. This process will take place in February and/or March.

Again, the complete initial TCD application for Westmont High School students is due by Friday, January 17, 2025. All interested students are strongly encouraged to submit it as soon as possible. Please note that this completed application will be dated and time stamped. The application can be completed in the Google Form listed below.

Additional information about the programs offered at the Technology Center of DuPage can be found on the TCD website - tcdupage.org
