General

Don't forget to purchase your 2024 yearbook ASAP. Limited quantities are available for $53 cash or check to WHS. See Mrs. Mahmoud or the front office to order. Don't miss out on your chance to secure your book!

Yearbook Club will tomorrow, April 11 right after school in room 110. See Mrs. Mahmoud or Ms. Jacobs if you cannot attend.

Senior Breakfast is a go! If you would still like to purchase a ticket, you may do so by Friday, April 12. Find information in The Class of 2024 classroom and see Mrs. Mahmoud to purchase a ticket.

Alright, Sentinels.  April is Attendance Month at Westmont High School.  We will be having weekly raffles throughout April.  Students will receive one ticket for every day that they are present during 2nd period.  Write your name on the ticket and drop it off during lunch periods in the prize bag of your choice.  Drawings will be on Fridays.  The more you attend, the more chances you have to win!!!  Good luck!!!!

Attention Juniors and Seniors, Prom is on May 11th at Pinstripes in Oakbrook. Tickets will go on sale ONLINE on April 1st. You will be able to purchase your ticket the entire month of April. As a reminder, please pick up guest forms from the front office if you plan on bringing an out-of-district guest! See Mrs. Ramirez or Mrs. Zorbas if you have any questions! 

Juniors and Seniors: The overnight Great America tip is scheduled for May 18 from 8:30 pm to 3:00 am. Please pick up your permission slips in the front office. $79 check to WHS or cash and permission slip are due to the front office by Friday, April 19. There are a limited number of tickets available, so don't miss out!

Clubs

Join CAPAOW! Friday, April 26 as we visit Bolingbrook High School's 2nd annual Night Market. The mini-bus will leave at 5:30 pm and we'll be back at 9:30 pm. It's free admission, but bring cash to support their student businesses. Hello Boba will have their food truck there as well. It will be a night of food, games, dance, and Karaoke. Permission slips are available in the Media Center. Mini-bus slots are limited, so get your permission slip in quickly to join CAPAOW for Night Market!

Hey Sentinels: How would you like to spend Spring Break 2025 traveling in JAPAN with Geography Club? That's right - just over a year from now, you could be visiting Tokyo, Hiroshima, Kyoto, Osaka and more in this fascinating country! There is still plenty of time to sign up -- see Mr. Landreth or Mr. Dunne for more details on this trip and information on how to sign up!

Athletics

Congratulations to the Sentinel Track and Field teams on a spectacular meet last night in Seneca! There were many PRs set last night as the girls team finished in 5th place and the boys team finished in 3rd place!

Top finishers for the girls team were:

·  5th place: The 4x200 relay team of Kendal Solik, Sadie Scales, Briseis Stanescu, and Daylah Belmonte

·  4th place: The 4x400 relay team of Stella Salvato-Francese, Daylah Belmonte, Kyla Babb and Annikah Engstrom

·  Kyla Babb was meet champion in the 1600!

Top finishers for the boys team were:

·  3rd place: Taj Lewis (shot put) and the 4x400 team relay of Quentin Jarlson, Michael Aho, Dylan DeSagun and Christian Rosa

·  2nd place: Abe Johnson (long jump), Billy McGhie (high jump), Paul Lalonde (1600) and the 4x100 relay team of Malachi Boatright, Jude Paul, Joe Kone and Abe Johnson

·  Meet Champions for the Sentinels were Abe Johnson in triple jump, Paul Lalonde in the 3200, and the 4x800 relay team of Michael Aho, Dylan DeSagun, Christian Rosa and Quentin Jarlson!

In addition, two school records were broken last night at Seneca: Special congratulations to Kyla Babb who broke the school record in the 1600 with a time of 5:10.80, and Abe Johnson who broke the triple jump school record with a jump of 13.25 meters!

Varsity Baseball won 9-5 over Northridge Prep on Tuesday. Westmont is now 8-2 on the season. Jerry Vasek got the win on the mound. He had 5 strikeouts and only allowed 3 earned runs. Lucas Hicks had 4 RBI. Rocco Damato  had 3 Hits and 2 RBI. Briggs Templeton  had 2 Hits and 2 RBI
