General

Time for new glasses?   Don't throw away your old pairs!  Drop off your old pairs of glasses in room 125.   Rotary Interact is holding a gentle used eyeglasses drive to help those in need see better.   It doesn't matter if you are donating glasses purchased through a doctor's office, lens crafters or over the counter at the dollar store.   Rotary Interact will pass them on to individuals to help them see better.  We thank you in advance for your donation.

On Wednesday, December 15th, come out at 6pm in the Auditorium to see a variety of Westmont's most talented performers! Acts include singing, stand up comedy, guitar, and more. The cost is $5 per ticket and all proceeds will go towards the Chicago Alliance Against Sexual Exploitation.

Reach out to Veronica Risden with any questions you have!

Sentinels the holiday season is rapidly approaching.  Which means that it is time for Rotary Interact's annual Paws 'n Claws Fundraiser!   Please consider donating new or freshly washed gently used blankets, leashes, collars, and toys for either cats or dogs.   We thank you in advance for thinking of the pets in the shelter during the holiday season.

Clubs

Join us today, during your lunch period to play a game or two of  Lotería.   Lotería is a Mexican game similar to Bingo. The games will take place in front of the Media Center and there will be a lot of prizes if you win. This event is sponsored by the Culture and Diversity Club formerly known as SADD.

The next Geography Club field trip will be on Friday, December 17th for our annual visit to Chicago's Christkindl Market as well as to Millennium Park for caroling. This is also a great chance to get some Christmas shopping done downtown. Permission slips are available in Mr. Landreth's room and must be turned in by TUESDAY, DECEMBER 14 in order to reserve your spot.

Spanish Club will meet next Wednesday, December 15th at 7:40 am.   See you there to start your first day of exams off right!

Athletics

Despite strong starts in the freshmen, sophomore, and varsity games each level ended up losing to very good Timothy Christian teams last night.

The varsity team lost 44-62. Joey Dooley hit seven 3 pointers and led the Sentinels with 23 points.  Hayes Templeton added 10 points and Caleb Kleinz added 7 points.

Sentinel athletes - please see your coach or Kappy to grab a set of 50/50 raffle tickets. Every athlete is asked to sell 5 tickets to help the Booster Club.  The athlete who sells the winning ticket will receive $50.  The raffle will take place at our February 4 basketball game.

Thank you and have a great day!
