WESTMONT HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR

 

General

Time for new glasses?   Don't throw away your old pairs!  Drop off your old pairs of glasses in room 125.   Rotary Interact is holding a gentle used eyeglasses drive to help those in need see better.   It doesn't matter if you are donating glasses purchased through a doctor's office, lens crafters or over the counter at the dollar store.   Rotary Interact will pass them on to individuals to help them see better.  We thank you in advance for your donation. 

 

Westmont's Next Top Sentinel is coming soon! 

Come to see our contestants compete, to win awesome Raffle Baskets like a movie night or spa package and to bid on awesome Staff Donations. You can win gift cards, outings with your favorite teachers, and even a PE makeup class. The event is Thursday, November 18th at 7 PM in the Auditorium. You do not want to miss it.

 

Clubs

Last night, the Westmont Scholastic Bowl team hosted local rival Riverside Brookfield. Westmont extended their winning streak to 4, after beating RB in both matches. winning 420-255 and 440-250. Leading the Sentinels on the night were Pranav Viswanath and Akshar Goyal, and Juniors Omer Mohsin and Michael Smith had great performances as well. The Sentinels are now 6-2 in conference play.

Hey Sentinels, now that our sports seasons are coming to a close and the fall play is over, do you find yourself with a little extra time?    Are you looking to help others and serve your community?   Rotary Interact will meet this Wednesday morning and new members are always welcome.   Please bring your calendars as we have several upcoming events to schedule. 

Hey Sentinels, there's still time to sign up to travel to Spain and Portugal with Geography Club next summer! Talk to Mr. Landreth or Mr. Dunne for more information or with any questions.

There will be a French Club meeting on THURSDAY November 18 at 7:30 am in Room 123.  Come on out and join us for a morning of GAMES!  

Yearbook Club will meet after school on Thursday, November 18 in Ms. Jacobs' room to watch a movie and have snacks, while we brainstorm ideas for our 2022 cover. Please see Ms. Jacobs or Ms. Mahmoud if you cannot attend.

 

Athletics

Sentinel Athletes - please see your coach or Kappy to grab a set of 50/50 raffle tickets. Every athlete is asked to sell 5 tickets to help the Booster Club.  The athlete who sells the winning ticket will receive $50.  The raffle will take place at our February 4 basketball game.

Only 61 days until Track and Field.  Will you be ready?  Make sure you are in our Google Classroom to receive important team information.
