WESTMONT HIGH SCHOOL
ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR

General

Hey Sentinels, those cheaters or old glasses may not work for you... but, have you ever thought of passing them along to someone in need that could use them?    Rotary Interact is holding a gently used eyeglass drive now through May 2nd.    Please bring your gently used glasses to Señorita´s room, room 125 and deposit them in the gently used glasses drive box.

Check out WHS job board under the student tab on our Westmont website. Plenty of places are looking for new employees, there is something for everyone!

Please come out to see your classmates perform in the WHS production of Our Town this Friday (11/5) and Saturday (11/6) at 7 pm. Tickets are $3 for students. Thanks for your support!

Athletics

Winter sports are about to begin. Girls Basketball starts November 1, Boys Basketball and Wrestling begin November 8. Please make sure you contact the coach or Kappy to ensure that you are on the tryout rosters.  You must have your 8 to 18 registration completed and have a current physical on file.

Congratulations to the cross country teams on a spectacular finish to their season at the Lisle Sectional Meet on Saturday morning! The Sectional meet was loaded with tough competition and the Sentinels ran their best team races of the year and seven Sentinels set personal course records on Lisle's 5K course! The girls team of Lizzy Szynal, Mikayla Hickey, Abby Strohmaier, Annikah Engstrom, and Callie Devine finished in 10th place. The boys team of Tim Rosland, Henry O'Connor, Kaleb Sica, Paul Tikhiy, and Quentin Jarlson took 13th place.

Huge congratulations go out to Lizzy Szynal, Mikayla Hickey, and Tim Rosland: All three runners qualified as individuals to run at this weekend's State Meet in Peoria! Congratulations, Sentinels!

Thank you and have a great day!
