WESTMONT HIGH SCHOOL
ANNOUNCEMENTS

General

Hey Sentinels, those cheaters or old glasses may not work for you... but, have you ever thought of passing them along to someone in need that could use them?    Rotary Interact is holding a gently used eyeglass drive now through May 2nd.    Please bring your gently used glasses to Señorita´s room, room 125 and deposit them in the gently used glasses drive box.

Sentinel Readers - SCARCE is a non-profit organization that recycles used books.  Maggie Hickman has placed a box in each of the English classrooms.  Please bring in your unwanted books and place them in one of the boxes. Thank you for supporting SCARCE and the environment.

Check out WHS job board under the student tab on our Westmont website. Plenty of places are looking for new employees, there is something for everyone!

Clubs

Attention Juniors and Seniors:  NHS is excited to announce Westmont's Next Top Sentinel!  It's the new and improved version of a bygone event. We are hosting this event on Thursday, November 18th.  If you are interested in being a contestant, please fill out the Google Form posted in your English Google Classroom.  Any questions, email or see Jason Czaplewski or Mrs. Templeton.

Recycling club will be moved to Friday after the flyover for this week only!

Athletics

Winter sports are about to begin. Girls Basketball starts November 1, Boys Basketball and Wrestling begin November 8. Please make sure you contact the coach or Kappy to ensure that you are on the tryout rosters.  You must have your 8 to 18 registration completed and have a current physical on file.

The boys on the soccer team really appreciated your support and words of encouragement throughout the season!  Below I have included the link to our online shop and a flyer if you would like to show the soccer team some additional love! The soccer program will also receive a small portion of the sales made.

Due to the pandemic affecting supplies and shipping, we have a limited number of items available and we have a small window to keep the store open so we will have to close the shop tomorrow (10/28) at 11:59pm.

The support from you all meant a lot to the boys this season!

Thank you and have a great day!
