General

Hey Sentinels, those cheaters or old glasses may not work for you... but, have you ever thought of passing them along to someone in need that could use them?    Rotary Interact is holding a gently used eyeglass drive now through May 2nd.    Please bring your gently used glasses to Señorita´s room, room 125 and deposit them in the gently used glasses drive box.  

Attention Juniors and Seniors:

NHS is excited to announce Westmont's Next Top Sentinel!  It's the new and improved version of a bygone event.  We are hosting this event on Thursday, November 18th.  If you are interested in being a contestant, please fill out the Google Form posted in your English Google Classroom.  Any questions, email or see Jason Czaplewski or Mrs. Templeton.

All Students: 

Did you forget to order your 2021 yearbook?  We still have a limited number of books available for purchase for $50. See Mrs. Mahmoud if you would like to buy one.

Clubs

Spanish Club is making t-shrits to wear on the Day of the Dead today after school.   

Please bring your tshirt with you after school to Señorita´s room. 

The Art Club and the Alliance Club will meet after school today in the Art Room.   Both clubs meet every Monday after school and are open to anyone who wants to join!  

Spanish Club will be making t-shirts for el Día de los Muertos on Monday, October 25th after school.  Please bring your light colored t-shirt to our next meeting after school on Monday, October 25th.

Athletics

The Westmont Junior High basketball team is playing Lisle today and is looking for a strong High School cheer section. JV game starts at 4:15 followed by the Varsity game at 5:30, if your schedule permits come show your Westmont spirit and cheer the Junior High onto victory!

Congratulations to the cross country teams on a spectacular performance at their Conference meet on Saturday morning at Elmwood Park. On a perfect day for cross country, six career bests and seven season PRs were set! In the girls race, Mikayla Hickey, Lizzy Szynal, Abby Strohmaier, Annikah Engstrom and Callie Devine all finished in the top 25! Not to be outdone, the boys team of Tim Rosland, Henry O'Connor, Kaleb Sica, Paul Tikhiy, and Quentin Jarlson accomplished the same feat, all finishing in the top 25! Huge congratulations to our five All-Conference medalists - in the girls race: Lizzy Szynal, 5th place and Mikayla Hickey, 3rd place! In the boys race: Kaleb Sica, 10th place; Henry O'Connor, 7th place, and Tim Rosland, your 2021 MSC Red Division CONFERENCE CHAMPION! Way to go Sentinels!
